Try raised beds this autumn

If you are finding it increasingly difficult to bend down to tend to your plants then why not try installing some raised beds?

They are also great for people with back problems, wheelchair users or those with small gardens.

We have two grow troughs in-store that we would highly recommend. They come in two sizes, small, which is 3feet (ft) x 2ft and large, which is 6ft x 2ft.

These are suitable for growing plants, as well as fruit and vegetables and are particularly handy for people with restricted mobility. They look great on patios too.

We also stock sleepers for people to build their own raised beds and a series of planters for vegetables – all designed to make growing your own easier.

Raised beds help boost drainage too as the soil is raised above ground level but at the same time keep an eye on them in droughts as more watering is needed. They can also be used to introduce new soil types to your garden.
