Wool and Yarn festival

We are hosting a woolly weekend on Saturday, September 7th and Sunday, September 8th complete with alpacas, knitting workshops and a spinner.

We’re celebrating all things wool by inviting people to come and join in with some fun activities involving yarn.

There will be a wool spinner in-store demonstrating the art of spinning. Visitors are invited to watch the expert at work.

We’ll be hosting free mini knitting workshops to give beginners the opportunity to learn the craft, as well as felting demonstrations at regular intervals throughout the weekend.

There will be alpacas on-site for people to meet too. The fleece of alpacas is commonly sheared and spun to produce a fine wool-like natural fibre.

We will have a ‘Knit and Niggles’ corner for people to work on their latest creations at the event. There will also be a knitted village and farmyard on display.

This is a must for all knitting enthusiasts as well as beginners. We hope to see you there!
