Exciting news! We’ve been shortlisted for two national Garden Retail Awards

We’re excited to announce that we are a finalist for the Community Involvement Award and our Plant Advisor, Will Michieli has progressed to the next stage in the ‘Westland Star of the Future’ category in the Garden Retail Awards.

We are regularly involved with various community sponsorship activities and each year we help to raise thousands of pounds for charities. We also work closely with around 50 schools and community groups annually, including Taunton in Bloom.

Star of the future finalist, Will, along with other members of the team, is looking forward to travelling to London for the awards evening in November. We’ve all got our fingers crossed for the results.

Twenty-two-year-old Will, who lives in North Petherton, was appointed to the role of Plant Advisor at Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre in April, 2011.

He said: “I’m thrilled to have been shortlisted for the award. I really enjoy working at the garden centre and it’s the best way for me to get real working experience in the industry.”

We have one of the largest plant areas in the vicinity with an extensive A-Z selection of plants.

We offer indoor plants to enhance the home, seasonal bedding plants for continuous colour, vegetable plants, fruit trees and bushes, as well as one of the largest selections of outdoor ornamental plants in the South West.

The Garden Retail Awards evening take place at Grosvenor House in London on Tuesday, November 5. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
