Myboshi Beanie Hats at Craft Centre

Fancy your very own funky new beanie hat? We are really excited to be unveiling our new ‘Myboshi Beanie Hats’ unit at our Craft Centre. Come in and get all the materials you need to make one of these trendy crocheted beanies.

Have you heard the story behind the craze? Myboshi is Japanese for ‘my beanie’ and it is a crocheted beanie hat design started by two young German men on their gap year, Felix Rohland and Thomas Jaenisch. While working as ski instructors in Japan, a Spanish colleague taught the boys how to crochet. They came up with the idea of making beanie hats, which were perfect for hitting the slopes. While in Tokyo, Felix and Thomas were approached by two Australians who loved the look of their beanie hats and wanted to buy them. What started as a joke has now developed into a successful business and a worldwide craze!

Come and see the Myboshi Beanie Hats for yourself. There are a wide range of colours and designs to choose from and they would make an ideal gift.
