Our three favourite garden walks

Our staff members are some of the hardest working people we know, but everyone deserves time off! Many people from the team enjoy spending their days off outside in the fresh air, going on long walks, so we decided to put together our top three garden walks.

Hestercombe Gardens

Come rain or shine Hestercombe Gardens is a firm favourite with the staff here. It’s made up of three unique gardens, which span three centuries of history and design. After restoration work the gardens now provide great examples of contrasting styles and we regularly visit them for some much needed inspiration.

It’s also perfect for our Liz who loves walking her two dogs, Spider and Ace, through its picturesque pathways.

The Walled Gardens of Cannington

This is another location that’s always top of our list. Many of our team members talk about visiting the gardens on their days off for fab gardening inspiration and ideas. They particularly enjoy the mix of classic and contemporary features as well as visiting the sub-tropical walk and the Victorian style fernery.

The gardens lie within the grounds of a medieval priory and many of the original buildings and walls of the gardens remain. The gardens look equally as fabulous in the winter as they do in the summer so it’s a real treat all year round.

Fyne Court

Fyne Court is always a top recommendation from our team members with families. It’s great for blowing away the cobwebs and entertaining the children at the same time.

The wild gardens are our absolute favourites and everyone enjoys discovering the folly and the boathouse, part of the original Arcadian landscape gardens.

This is another location that’s perfect for all year round. Visitors can see the court transform through the season, with a blanket of snowdrops appearing in February and gorgeous displays of bluebells and wild garlic appearing through May. What are your favourite garden walks?
