Plant of the Month - July - Trachelospermum Jasminoides “The Star Jasmin”

Also known as the sweet scent of summer, this evergreen, exquisitely scented climber is a fantastic addition to any garden.

The masses of tiny, highly Jasmin scented clusters of white star flowers are borne throughout the summer months filling the air with their smell. The small, shiny, dark evergreen leaves clothe the twining stems and can reach up to 20ft in the right position but can easily be controlled with a prune in early spring.

Plant in full sun against a south or west wall or fence in well drained and fertile soil. Can also be planted in a large (at least 60cm diam) pot with good draining holes and filled with John Innes no.3 compost. Feed during the growing season with Westland’s Grow Sure Plant Food. Plants grown in a container will display fantastic autumn and winter tints.

Plant now for a show stopping display in your garden or perfect on a patio.
