Crochet classes for complete beginners
Want to learn a new skill ready for when the nights draw in? Come along to our six-week course: Crochet for Complete Beginners.
We’re offering a six week course in crochet to anyone who is eager to learn and the first session takes place on October 3rd from 2pm until 4pm.
People can register their interest now and classes will run for six consecutive weeks on Friday afternoons from 2pm until 4pm. Our expert staff will be starting from scratch and teaching attendees everything they need to know about the art of crochet.
Crochet is a really rewarding craft to learn as the possibilities for what you can make are endless. It’s also extremely therapeutic and something that people can do as the nights begin to draw in.
The course costs £60 in total and is payable when booking. The price works out at £10 per week. People can call the garden centre to book a place, email the Craft Centre at crafts@monkton-elm.co.uk or call 01823 412381.
Crochet is a process of creating fabric from yarn, thread, or other material strands using a crochet hook. Crochet differs from knitting in that only one stitch is active at one time.
We will be taking people through each step of learning to crochet and will be able to teach them the different techniques and technical terms.
