Father Christmas fundraises for Children’s Hospice SW

Anyone who books tickets to see Santa in his grotto at the garden centre this year will be helping to raise invaluable funds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

We’re delighted to be raising money for such a worthy cause again this year. We’ve been supporting CHSW for the past seven years and last year alone we collected more than £3,000 for the charity.

CHSW is currently the only provider of specialist hospice care for children in the region. It offers much needed support for youngsters with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition and their families at its three hospices: Charlton Farm in North Somerset, Little Bridge House in North Devon and Little Harbour in Cornwall.

Gill Brown, the Chairwoman of the Bridgwater Friends of CHSW, said: “Every year we receive lots of support from Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre. The money that we receive from the Government is not guaranteed each year, therefore we rely entirely on voluntary contributions to safeguard our service into the future. The money raised will help families make the most of their precious time together.”
