Plant up a primrose basket for Mum

We’re inviting children to have a go at making their mums a special present for Mothering Sunday.

Youngsters can come along to our planting workshops and plant up primrose baskets on Saturday 14th March from 11am until 1pm and from 2pm until 4pm.

The workshops will take place in our seasonal plant hall and all of the materials will be provided, including an array of locally-grown primroses that children can choose from.

You are welcome to drop in to either workshop on the day, no booking is necessary. The workshops will cost £2.99 per child and all children will need to be accompanied by an adult.

As well as making a lovely gift, the workshops are a great way to get children interested in gardening and learning how to plant something up.

It looks set to be a fun day and our expert staff members, Catherine Johnson and Sue Bown, will be on hand to guide and help youngsters through the process.
