Classic Vehicle Club to make pit stop at Monkton Elm

Calling all car enthusiasts. Come and see an array of vintage vehicles here on March 29 from 12noon when the Norton Radstock Classic Vehicle Club makes a pit stop.

We’re really excited to see all of the cars stopping in our car park. We have some real classic car enthusiasts on the team so it will not only be a real treat for us but also a treat for anyone that decides to come along especially. The club will stop here for approximately one hour.

Aubrey Chegwyn, Club Member at the Norton Radstock Classic Vehicle Club, said: “The whole club will be taking part in The Cobweb Run on the day but we’re making a special pit stop at Monkton Elm for a rest and a bit of lunch halfway through our journey. While we’re at the garden centre we’d love to invite any car enthusiasts to pop along and see our vehicles.

“Our Cobweb Run is held on the first day of the lighter evenings after the clocks are put forward. There will be around 20 cars in the run that people will be able to see, many of them date from the 50s, 60s and 70s and include popular British makes such as Ford, Rover, MG and Morris.

“We’ll be happy to chat to anyone who comes along about the club and the cars before we get back on our travels.”

The Norton Radstock Classic Vehicle Club was formed in 2003 and is a multi marque club. It currently has more than 130 members and takes part in events and shows throughout the year.
