You’re invited to our free Christmas weekends

You’re invited to join in the festivities at our two Christmas weekends on December 5 and 6 and 12 and 13 with live entertainment, food sampling and the chance to see festive displays.

The Bare Bones Trio will be performing on December 5 and 12 between 11am and 3pm. They will be singing a variety of songs from their repertoire and people are welcome to make any requests for tunes they’d like to hear too.

Magic Minds Face Painting will be on-site on December 6 from 9.30am until 4.30pm and on December 12 from 2.30pm until 4.30pm. A small face paint design will cost £2 and a full face will cost £4.

Members of the Wellington Carnival Committee will also be on site on Dec 5, 12 and 13 dressed as fairies, elves and reindeers. They will be collecting for a variety of charities including the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, St John’s Ambulance and the Taunton Association for the Homeless.

During the weekends youngsters will be able to meet Father Christmas in his grotto.

Grotto visiting times will be from 10am until 4pm. The visits can be booked online via www.monktonelmgardencentre.co.uk and will cost £7.50 per child. Advance booking is essential.

Children will meet Santa and have a chance to chat with him before receiving a present, a colouring card and a sticker. They’ll also be able to sit in on a story reading session.

The weekends are also a great opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done as we have a huge variety of gifts in stock.
