Hints & tips for outdoor living this summer

The summer is the best season to sit back and enjoy your garden, relax and appreciate it from the comfort of a garden chair or recliner.

Alternatively, entertain friends and family with a barbecue. If you plan to stay out late, add some easy to install garden lighting and a chimenea or fire pit.

We have everything you need and plenty of ideas to ensure you get the most enjoyment from your garden this summer – please just pop in and ask or give us a call, we’re here to help!

Here are a couple of ways you can give your outdoor area a seasonal boost:

Herbs

Love cooking? Then you’ll appreciate having plenty of herbs. If you don’t have much space left in the garden, plant up a herb pot with some of your favourites so they’re easily to hand when you need them.

From basil, mint, parsley and rosemary to sage and thyme we have all the herbs you’ll need for range of scents and tastes.

Lawns

If your lawn is looking tired and run down, give it a boost now with a weed and moss killer. Where weeds or moss are a problem use a liquid feed, weed and moss killer. To keep your lawn looking its best mow regularly when the grass is growing. You can leave small clippings on the lawn as they will help conserve soil moisture.

During dry spells only water lawns if you absolutely have to and when a good soak is needed use a lawn sprinkler set on a timer to avoid wasting water and making your water bill shoot up.

We have a wide range of products to help keep your lawn green and healthy. Pop in for some advice from our expert, friendly staff today.
