Make a pit stop here to see classic vehicles

Petrol heads will be able to see a display of classic and vintage vehicles at our place when the Taunton Historic Vehicle Group stops by on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19 from 11am.

Mike Amor, Chairman at the Taunton Historic Vehicle Group, said: “We have a selection of cars dating from the 1920s to the 1980s. Our members often attend a number of classic car, steam rallies and historic vehicle events across the region and we are looking forward to being at Monkton Elm on Father’s Day.

“The cars are a great attraction and rekindle a lot of memories for visitors who have had connections with similar cars in their younger days.”

The club began meeting more than 25 years ago and Monkton Elm was often a venue members visited. The club now receives many invitations to attend fetes and charity events with the cars.

It also supports the Taunton Carnival and has displayed its cars around the town centre for many years.

We’re really excited to see all of the cars stopping by. We have some real classic car enthusiasts on the team so it will not only be a real treat for us but also a treat for anyone that decides to come along.
