We’re going back in time at flower show

We’re inviting you to the Taunton Flower Show at Vivary Park on August 5 and 6 to see our display garden.

We had a super successful show last year, with our Alice in Wonderland-themed garden winning a large gold medal and ‘Best in Show’.

We don’t want to give too much away but this year we’re celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday with a special garden that has been themed around the year she was born. We are recreating a 1926 Somerset scene with lots of vintage props and pictures as well as vintage-inspired flowers and plants.

We put a call out asking for anyone who might be able to help with the props and pictures and would like to say a huge thank you to www.barriepictures.co.uk for helping out with donations of images of Taunton and Somerset. These will be on display around the garden for everyone to see.

The Taunton Flower show is held annually and attracts more than 24,000 visitors over its two days. The first show was held in 1866 and apart from during the Second World War, has been held every year since.

Our Store Manager, Andrew Pitman, will be at the show on both days to chat to visitors and answer any questions people may have about our garden.
