Pick up handmade gifts at our charity Christmas craft fayre

Come and get your Christmas gift shopping done at our charity craft fayre in aid of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) on Thursday, December 8 from 3.30pm until 8pm.

We’ve invited talented crafters from across Somerset to display and sell their wares during our Christmas craft fayre. You will be able to complete your festive shopping and browse and buy a variety of items ranging from wooden gifts, children’s clothing, jewellery, homewares and even Christmas decorations all handmade with love by talented craftspeople.

There will be representatives from local charities, including CHSW, at the event to talk to people about the work they do too.

A variety of free children’s craft activities provided by Children’s Scrap Store Taunton and Expressive Arts & Crafts will also take place.

There will be live music from the Lazy River Swing band from 4pm and Street Harmony Ringers will put on a bell ringing performance from 7.30pm until 8pm.

Pitch fees from the stallholders will all be donated to CHSW. We will also be collecting donations for the charity on the evening. We hope you come along and bring lots of friends too, as there is sure to be something for everyone, even the trickiest of people to buy presents for.

CHSW is currently the only provider of specialist hospice care for children in the region. It offers much needed support for youngsters with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition and their families at its three hospices: Charlton Farm in North Somerset, Little Bridge House in North Devon and Little Harbour in Cornwall.

Kylie Gallagher, CHSW Community Fundraiser, said: “We are delighted the Christmas fayre is supporting CHSW. Christmas is a very special time for our families to make precious memories and we are grateful for the continued support from Monkton Elm and its customers, which is vital to keep our services sustainable into the future.”
