The gardening trend for 2017
Low impact gardening is going to be big in 2017 and this means keeping it simple and cutting back on the maintenance and care required while still achieving great results.
Here are our top three tips for this up-and-coming trend:
- Go for a more natural landscape with low care shrubs, grass and perennials. These need little maintenance so you won’t have to prune, feed or care for them as much as other varieties.
- Strawberries, blueberries and raspberries yield tasty fruits but also look good too. They don’t have to be planted in the ground, you could grow them in pots, which you can move to suit your requirements and the sunlight. This helps make better use of your outdoor space. Also, you have more control over your plants if they are in pots and they are easier to care for.
- Herbs are among the easiest plants to grow and they are also very versatile. They require very little tending and can be grown in small pots on kitchen windowsills or in larger containers outside. You will know that you’re getting fresh, flavoursome herbs that are free from pesticides when you grow your own
