Free Valentines-themed craft activities for children

The fab folks at Children’s Scrapstore Taunton will be hosting free Valentines-themed craft activities in our Elm Tree restaurant on Monday, February 13 from 10am until 2pm.

Lisa Hunt, from Children’s Scrapstore Taunton, said: “We’re thrilled to be kicking off the half-term holiday with some crafty activities for children at Monkton Elm. It’s the perfect opportunity for families to pop along with the kids and keep them occupied and away from the television or computers.

“There will be a Valentines theme to the craft activities and children can make heart garlands, ornaments, personalised bags and cards. The activities will be free for children and parents/guardians. All children must be accompanied by an adult.”

Children’s Scrapstore Taunton, which is located at Bridgwater and Taunton College, is an organisation that collects safe, clean, reusable waste from manufacturers and businesses that can be re-used such as paper, card, plastic pots, tubs, tubes, netting, fabrics, foam and wood.

Members of the public or groups working in a creative play, care, educational or therapeutic setting can go along to the store and collect everything they need.

We hope lots of families come along for lots of crafting fun. Children will be able to take their creations home with them afterwards.
