Miniature donkeys, ponies, pygmy goats and micro pigs are starring in our Christmas displays and are on-site during normal opening hours until Christmas Eve.
To celebrate Halloween, we are giving the children the chance to create a pumpkin lantern, in our seasonal covered area from Saturday 25 th October until Friday 31 st October.
If you would like ideas for crafty projects you can do with your children or grandchildren during the May half-term holidays then pop in and say ‘hi’ to our Craft Centre team.
We’re hosting a free event dedicated to spuds from February 17th until 23rd (2014) and it will include advice from representatives from Unwins and expert gardeners. There will also be free craft activities for children and a treasure hunt.
We’re inviting children to enter a potato modeling competition this month (February, 2014). We’re asking them to create a potato model and submit a diary of the process before March 1st (2014) for our Spudtacular Models competition.
We’re looking forward to having representatives from James Wellbeloved visit on Saturday, December 21 to chat to visitors about their animals’ nutritional needs. They will be giving people tips and advice on how to keep their cat or dog as healthy as possible this yuletide.
We’re really excited to announce that Father Christmas will be arriving aboard North Petherton Pentathlon Carnival Club’s ‘Wizard of Oz’ themed float on Tuesday, November 19th at 5pm.

We will have a variety of animals here, including guinea pigs, rabbits, lizards and spiders for people to meet and learn about the proper methods of care on Saturday, October 26th.

As part of the school summer holidays, we will be hosting a Children’s Fun Week. This involves a series of workshops for youngsters every day from Monday, August 5 until Sunday, August 11 in a dedicated fun area near our reception.
