Taunton florists try for Florist of the Year title with our help

We have donated a selection of Phalaenopsis orchids to Charlotte Murrant and Lisa Fowler from Eden Wedding Florist and Flower School for their entries for the Chelsea Florist of the Year competition at the Chelsea Flower Show next week (May 19 until 23).

Charlotte, who works as a Wedding Florist at Eden Wedding Florist and Flower School, said: “Last year myself and our other Wedding Florist, Lisa won gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show with our displays. Lisa was also crowned Florist of the Year 2014 and this year we are trying our hand at the competition again and hope to walk away with two more medals.

“This year the challenge is to create floral fantasy trees inspired by the Tulgey woods in Alice and Wonderland and Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre kindly offered to help us out with the plants we need. They have been very generous and gave us a budget to spend with one of their specialist suppliers on everything we need for the displays.

“The displays are coming along extremely well and we can’t wait to show everyone the finished creations. We’d like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to the garden centre for helping us out. We have our fingers firmly crossed for a win.”

We are absolutely thrilled to have helped Charlotte and Lisa with their displays. Our Store Manager, Andrew will be visiting the show myself and he can’t wait to see the girls’ finished displays, everyone here at the garden centre wishes them the best of luck in the competition.
